Following the reflections on improving the efficiency of the sector, it emerged that communication between the actors in the aeronautics sector had to be rethought in order to:

  • Improve the transmission and processing of information
  • Accelerate standardization of exchange protocols

It is in this dynamic that the Boostaerospace project was launched.

Boostaerospace: digital platform dedicated to exchanges in aeronautics

The collaborative digital platform Boostaerospace was created in 2009 by major aeronautics players Airbus, Dassault Aviation, EADS, Safran and Thales.

The main objective of this digital B2B platform is to enable all actors in the aeronautics supply chain to adopt a common communication language. To do this, they standardized the exchanges between the actors of the sector and agreed to use the BoostAero standards to exchange their data and documents.

The services offered by the B2B platform Boostaerospace

Boostaerospace brings together three departments:

  • AirDesign, created by Dassault Systèmes
Platform for sharing models, 3D models and product configurations
  • AirCollab, created by Thales
Document Sharing (DMS) and Meeting Management Platform
  • AirSupply created by SupplyOn
EDI platform to track orders and delivery

BoostAeroSpace allows, among other things, to optimize the procurement and delivery of spare parts, to organize virtual meetings and to develop multi-manufacturer projects.

AirSupply: aeronautical EDI platform

AirSupply from SupplyOn enables the actors of the Aerospace Supply Chain to optimize their deliveries and supplies. All supply chain management processes are standardized and centralized on a common B2B digital platform.

A scalable exchange platform

Today, more than 2,000 customer-supplier relationships are being handled via the AirSupply platform. It is the service of Boostaerospace that allows the most interactions between customers and suppliers of aeronautics. It is a scalable B2B digital platform, which welcomes more and more users.

Good to know: EDI exchanges with non-European suppliers are possible.

The different EDI flows managed by AirSupply

Several types of EDI messages are transmitted via the SupplyOn AirSupply platform, including:

  • The orders
  • The shipping notices
  • The delivery notes
  • The invoices

On Time Delivery

The AirSupply service goes beyond traditional EDI functions, offering a collaborative “On Time Delivery” (OTD) service.

The OTD is used by Contractors to measure the performance of a subcontractor according to the number of orders delivered per hour. The OTD is however an indicator that can be biased due to machine failure for example. With AirSupply, suppliers can indicate whether they agree or disagree with the OTD issued by their customer.

Interface with the AirSupply platform from SupplyOn

You are in contact with the actors of the aeronautics supply chain? Using the AirSupply platform is essential to approach all Aeronautics Contractors and suppliers.

At Artéva, we offer you to interface with the AirSupply platform in EDI via the digital platform Orchestrade. This is already connected to AirSupply and allows us to connect you with your partners EDI aeronautics in just a few days.

Orchestrade, a digital B2B platform

The Orchestrade platform centralizes and decloisonnates all your commercial document exchanges on a single interface. Invoices, orders, shipping notices… everything is managed on Orchestrade.

Orchestrade allows you to address all your customers and suppliers, regardless of their sectors and information systems, without technological barriers.
